The Background

Material Handling Inc. is the leading supplier of material handling and forklift solutions, warehouse products, and repair and maintenance services for North Georgia, Middle Tennessee, Southeast Tennessee, and Southern Kentucky. MHI has served this area for more than 30 years with over 80 factory-trained technicians and parts personnel. MHI has 46 service vans operating daily out of 6 branch locations in Gainesville and Dalton, GA, Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga, TN, and Bowling Green, KY, for timely service.

The MHI-Chattanooga Branch has been using Record360 since 2017. TJ Bryant, their Rental Coordinator, explains: “We have about a thousand pieces of rental equipment in our fleet. Record360 has helped us set a standard with our customers.”

 

The Problem

Before implementing the Record360 inspection app, Material Handling Inc. was using digital cameras and USB drives to track the condition of its equipment. Data points for equipment weren’t stored in one place and this process was inefficient. Inspections were taking MHI over an hour to complete.

 

The Solution

Record360 offers a simple platform to take pictures & videos, and email them out to customers with a click of a button. TJ Bryant explains, “We are using Record360 at all six of our locations. What’s cool about that is you can go online and see what every branch is up to. You’re able to see what’s coming in, the condition it’s coming in, if we’re notifying the customer if there’s any damage… We can also send a quote and invoice to our customer directly.”

 

Recently, the MHI-Chattanooga Branch rented a forklift attachment from a third party and rented the attachment to their customer. Of course… the attachment came back damaged.

TJ was able to show proof of damage to both the customer and the third party, saving his branch over $5,000 in repairs. And that was just one customer.

Not only does Record360 hold customers accountable but it holds the MHI-Chattanooga Branch accountable for the product they are presenting to their customers. TJ says he “strongly recommends using Record360”.
